I have been drawing since early childhood, using art as a way to freely express myself and observe the world around me.
My work is primarily inspired by nature, which brings me a sense of calm. I am especially drawn to flowers, whose forms and colors reflect the uniqueness and quiet beauty found in difference. I often use light color palettes to convey warmth and a gentle, reflective mood.
I work across a range of media, including ink, acrylic, pastels, and markers. Ink holds a meaningful place in my practice, connecting me to my cultural background and the tradition of Chinese ink painting. I am interested in its breath-like transparency and the way layered washes can create a sense of life and movement.
My practice is informed by both historical and contemporary influences, including Claude Monet, whose treatment of light evokes tranquility, and Makoto Fujimura, whose concept of “slow art” emphasizes intentional making and reflection.
Through these influences, I approach art-making as a slow process of observing, feeling, and translating lived experience into visual form.
